Steve Willshaw and Myatt & Co Educational Resources
At Steve Willshaw Consulting Ltd, I offer first class, personalised educational consultant services. My experience in consulting, with over 15 years as a local authority, MAT and self-employed consultant, working with leadership teams, departments and whole schools, has given me a wealth of expertise to draw upon to support your school . I understand the unique challenges faced by schools and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
Since 2021 I have been working closely with Mary Myatt, the curriculum expert, recording interviews for her Myatt and Co platform. A central focus of this work has been the promotion of the Faster Reading Research from Sussex University – I have recorded conversations with the authors of the report, Julia Sutherland and Jo Westbrook and with schools that are using their approach with great success.
I have had the privilege of recording discussions with Jeffrey Boakye about his books and many of the major names in the world of English teaching including Debra Myhill, Robert Eaglestone, Teresa Cremin, Dominic Wyse, and Barbara Bleiman.
Additionally, I have recorded four series of secondary subject meetings on the themes of Quality Texts, Big ideas, Diversity and Oracy. For each theme I recorded conversations with subjects leaders from all the secondary subjects.
What To Expect:

The site offers MATs, schools and individuals recordings to support all your CPD needs. The range of recordings is vast and growing.
Myatt and Co also offers self-paced courses on leadership, diversity and creativity, utilising the skills of its brilliant team of collaborators.
I am also working with Mary on a KS3 project called The Ambitious Years which will focus curriculum planning on high-quality, academic texts, linking back to the Sussex research.
I have extensive experience as an educational consultant, including work on headteacher performance management and would be delighted to discuss working with you on leadership or subject development work on either a team or individual basis.
